Plan to arrive 10–15 minutes early.
👕 What should I wear?
We’re not worried about how you’re dressed. You’ll see everything from jeans and T-shirts to more traditional Sunday clothing.
👶 What about my kids?
Our Sunday School class is offered to kids 8 and under. They’ll sing songs, play games, eat a snack and have a Bible lesson. Once you come in the door there will be a friendly face and signs showing you the way to check in your kids.
All of our Kid’s Min volunteers are background checked and safety trained. Our security system ensures you as the parents are the only ones that can pick up your child after service.
🎵 What is the service like?
Every element of our service is designed to invite you to worship the Lord and to point to the hope of the Gospel!
We sing a mix of modern and timeless worship songs, we go to God to the Lord in prayer, hear passages of Scripture read out loud, we study the Bible through faithful preaching, we have a time of prayer and response to the Lord, and at the end, all followers of Jesus are invited to partake in the Lord’s Supper together.
📖 What will we preach?
Our preaching is expositional, meaning we walk verse by verse through a passage of scripture. The goal of our preaching to is explain what God has said in His Word, declare what God has done in His Son, and apply the message to our hearts and lives
All of our preaching is driven by the text and points to the Gospel, the Bible’s main message of God saving sinners through the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ.
☕ What happens afterward?
A typical service is finished between 11:30-11:45am. Those who wish to help tear-down and clean up do so, while others tend to stay after so they can spend time with friends and family by discussing the sermon or life from the past week over a cup of coffee and a yummy pastry.

CHILDREN'S MINISTRY
Our Kid’s ministry offers Sunday School during the worship service for all children up to 8 years old.

Will my kids be safe?
We care greatly about your kid’s safety! We have a great team of volunteers that are ready to serve your whole family! All of our volunteers are background checked and MinistrySafe trained in order to protect your kids!
How does check in and pick up work?
We have an electronic check-in system ensures you are the only person that can pick up your child after service. For check in, you come to the table and get a name tag for your child and a unique parent code that you must show our team at pick up.
What curriculum do you use?
We use Brite Curriculum which is a Gospel-centered children’s ministry curriculum. In every lesson, the Bible is read, heard, and connected to Jesus in ways kids can understand in their own lives. Check it out HERE
What if I want to keep my kid with me?
Absolutely! The mission of our Kid’s ministry is to partner with the parents and families to make Jesus known to future generations. Awe see the parents are the primary disciple makers of their families; the ministry
partners with families to teach children about Jesus.
God – We believe God is the creator and ruler of the universe. God the Father reigns with providential care over His universe. He has eternally existed in three persons: the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. These three are coequal and one God.
Jesus – We believe Jesus Christ is the only Son of God. He is fully God and fully man. He offered himself as the perfect sacrifice for the sins of all by dying on a cross. He arose from the dead after three days to demonstrate His power over sin and death.
The Holy Spirit – We believe the Holy Spirit is present in the world to make people aware of their need for Jesus Christ. He lives in all Christians from the moment of salvation, providing them with power for living and with guidance in doing what is right.
Scripture – We believe the Bible is God’s word to us. Human authors wrote the Bible under the supernatural guidance of the Holy Spirit. Because of its divine inspiration, the Bible is the supreme source of truth for all people. The Bible plays an indispensable role for the followers of Christ.
Man – We believe man is the special creation of God, made in His own image. In the beginning, man was innocent of sin and was endowed by his Creator with freedom of choice. By his choice man sinned against God and brought sin into the human race. Man’s decision to sin caused a division between Creator and creation and left man in need of a Savior.
Salvation – We believe salvation involves the redemption of the whole man, and is offered freely to all who believe in their heart and confess with their mouth that Jesus Christ is Lord and Savior. We are saved by grace through faith. There is no salvation apart from personal faith in Jesus Christ as Lord.
The Great Commission – We believe the Great Commission is the duty and privilege of every follower of Christ, and of every church of the Lord Jesus Christ, to endeavor to make disciples of all nations. We believe that disciples are most effectively made in the context of the local church. Therefore, church planting and missions are of utmost importance.
Gender Identity – We believe that God wonderfully and immutably creates each person as male or female. These two distinct, complementary genders together reflect the image and nature of God.
Marriage – We believe marriage was created and instituted by God in order to display his gracious love and to teach the world about how he would unite himself to his redeemed people through Jesus Christ. Marriage is a single, exclusive, covenant union entered into by one man and one woman which God bears witness to.
Our music is a mix of modern and timeless. Our people are from diverse backgrounds of all kinds. Our goal is to live a gospel-centered and Christ-exalting life. Our aim is to be accessible to new seekers and substantive for long time believers. We are theologically Baptist. We cooperate in our mission with other Great Commission Baptists. We aim to be a people that care about what the Bible says above all else. The best way to answer the question is to come spend a Sunday with us! We gather in a school because it has been a great place for us to serve our community and has a lot of space for the church to expand and grow. It is also relatively inexpensive. We look forward to a time in the future where we have a dedicated meeting space but we are more concerned about the people in our community growing in Christ than the building we gather in.
Pillar Church of Crestview is a part of a family of churches named The Praetorian Project. Our family of churches strategically plants in military communities in order to focus on long-term discipleship for highly transient people. As service members and their families move from duty-station from duty-station their discipleship process can be continued and they can be a Gospel witness and disciple-maker wherever Uncle Sam sends them and their family.
